Usage Guidelines

The SAE Institute logo consists of the main SAE symbol with the addition of the word "Institute" below the image.

Colour

Depending on the colour of the surrounding area, the logo can be used in the following colours:

• Blue (C:100 M:80 Y:0 K:20) or Pantone 2757U
• Dark Blue (C:100 M:80 Y:0 K:40)
• Yellow (C:0 M:20 Y:100 K:0)
• White
• Black

The background on which the logo is placed must ensure a high contrast between background colour and logo colour. Sufficient clear space must be maintained surrounding the SAE Institute logo (see figure below for an example; minimum space required: 0.25 times the height of the SAE symbol or exactly the height of the word Institute).

Incorrect Usage

• Do not distort the logo in any way
• Do not remove any parts of the SAE logo or alter it by adding new elements
• Do not use a different font/position or alter the word Institute in any way
